San Marco protagonist in USA at BMC Cascade Cycling Classic
American teams that ride with San marco have been among the protagonists of the stage race BMC Cascade Cycling Classic. During the event, that for women is also the final appointment in the 2009 Women’s Prestige Cycling Series, the girls of Team Tibco and Team Colavita were overactive. At Tibco goes the Team General Classification Standings, thanks to a serie of numeorus placements, in particular the second place of Alison Starnes in Stage 3, of Amber Rais in Stage 4 and of Joanne Kiesanowski in the last one. Four podium placements is the result achieved by the athletes of Colavita, with Tina Pic, two times second and Cath Cheatley, that obtained a second and a third place. Tina won also the green jersey for best sprinter. With these results the Colavita women’s team now heads into the USA Cycling National Road Championship events. The Colavita/Sutter Home was protagonist also with men. The team won a second place in Stage 5 with Alejandro Borrajo, but above all a first place with Anthony Colby, in the finale. For him it is the first NRC victory.
