RODRIGUEZ NEW LEADER OF UCI WORLD RANKING
The second place conquered at the Flèche Wallonne behind Cadel Evans has allowed Joaquim Rodriguez to jump at the head of the UCI World Ranking. The Spanish rider of the Team Katusha achieved with the result of the Belgian race the 60 necessary points to overcome Luis Leon Sanchez Gil, now third. At the second place there is Philippe Gilbert, detached of 36 points from the new leader: "For me it is a great pride to be at the command of the world classification" – tells Rodriguez - "it is a proof of my good form of this period. I am happy because in this first part of the season I have always gotten good results in important competitions".
